Our First Fall Swim

Somebody deemed post-Sept 01 as the unofficial end of summer. It sound ludicrous to bring such a wonderful season to a premature end. Our family is silently protesting and refusing to give in to the approach of Winter only 24-hours after the close of August.

We did our protesting at the neighborhood pool yesterday. It was awesome. Nobody else was there. I think everyone was nestled under their covers fending off the cold or chopping firewood or drinking hot chocolate or some other Wintertime activity.

Not us! No way! We were swimming in the pool. We stayed too long. I got my first Fall sunburn. My nose, neck and bald spots are hurting right now.
